So uhh any tips on how to usefully operate a jet or chopper on a console
I can fly fine for the most part but I can't hit stuff
A jet is easier to fly than a helicopter, but it's harder to get kills with the cannon. I don't like heat seekers for jets vs. jets, because it's easier to kill them with the gun.
You have to get a lead. Gravity/turning velocity affects where your cannon is going to hit. A jet is big, especially when it turns in a circle and you have it in your sights. Just find a sweet spot and fire.
Helicopters are mainly meant as an infantry killing machine. Use your rocket pods on tanks and pockets of people. Don't have people spotted? Shoot inside buildings/near flags that are being taken. It is essential to have a good gunner and a good pilot communicating, otherwise your gunner will be shooting at a jet that is a more than a mile away, instead of that helicopter or the multitude of infantry that are locking onto you. Tanks must be dealt with. Have your gunner and yourself to shoot at the top of it, directly, but before, have your gunner to sweep the sides, the front, and the back to make sure any reactive armor is gone, if any.
Just fly, don't be an starfish, and kill.
