Not sure, but I think the LRW-990s are a tad more sturdy than ERLU units, so they might be better for resisting cave-ins. Plus, LRW-990s are pretty big, around the size of a small van, so they'd have some pretty great carrying capacity and be able to possibly spray quick-dry concrete to reinforce tunnels.
