I've been watching old STAR videos and every single time he uses an item that was changed I swear about half the comments are about why that item is acting differently

Makes me think about all the item changes we've had, I hope some more good ones are in our future rather than completely new weapons, I'd love some more unpopular item makeovers like the Skullcutter or the Cow Mangler (again)

And we all know the Wee Booties pretty much require a change since the Tide Turner came out

if the wee booties were changed they should add some charge time

Ok guys, since hopefully someone linked valve to this thread for community feedback, let's brainstorm some ways to make the minigun less braindead and atleast some what complicated:

  • Change warm up so it begins after .86 centiseconds into revving up and make it take 1.14 seconds to remove, effectively taking 2 secs to rev completely. Note this also applies to the Natascha/BB so they aren't penalized too much.
  • After revving completely, "over heat" begins, with the effect/usage of it differing for all miniguns
  • The Minigun has toggable knockback that as you remain revved, a bar will fill indicating how much you can use up, the more filled the more powerful the knockback. note using it while it's charging will give you the same effect but will drain more quickly than if it filled.
  • Natascha's slowdown is replaced by projectile destruction, for 4 seconds the accuracy of the effect increases until it reaches guaranteed projectile destruction, also it keeps the 50% ammo.
  • The Tomislav has reversed warm up, and a 30% faster rev up, were the gun is guranteed 1.50 seconds of pure carnage, but hits the stuffter afterwards, and it also gains 50% weapon switch so the family business has some good synergy. it has no overheat mechanic.
  • The Brass Beast has "sentryfication" aka it gains accuracy and reduced damage falloff after 5 seconds. other wise no overheat.
  • The Huo-long heater has literally overheat, were the flames become intensified after revving up, however they become weaker while firing.
  • Overheat is represented by a cloud of gas emitted from the minigun and several unique effects for the unlocks

one command I didn't know about was "hud_combattext_batching 1"
when you shoot people (with something like an smg) instead of just going "-11 -11 -11 -11 -11 -11" it adds it all up for you
