Who the forget are you even

My AMD E-300 Dual core 1.7Ghz experience (ft. 2Gb's of RAM):
Holy loving stuff I cant even open task simulator, send help.

So my laptop is broke and I had to send it to loving germany because the repair shop couldnt order hinges (I couldnt order either) and repair it there so the only logical option was to send it to germany and pay 300 loving euros for a hinge that like 40 or something.

So I borrowed my sisters laptop, but holy stuff is it slow. So I tested the drives and whatsnot and apperently the OS is so full of stuff and viruses its barely usable. Luckely I had a 360Gb 2.5" drive laying arround. After an entire day of loving because stuff wouldnt work I managed to get win10 on it hoping it would get faster.

On laptop as boot driveSeq4K
Read64.87MB/s0.487MB/s
Write61.12MB/s0.801MB/s
On my desktop as just a driveSeq4K
Read81.63MB/s0.547MB/s
Write81.03MB/s0.740MB/s
On my desktop as boot driveSeq4K
Read68.37MB/s0.307MB/s
Write26.63MB/s0.678MB/s

So basically the speeds when I use the drive as my boot drive on both the laptop and my desktop the write and read speeds are the same, meaning its not the hardware of the laptop being so much of a problem, its all the stuff on the drive itself. While Grabbing the new drive, putting a fresh windows 10 on there and running crystaldisk once more the write and read speeds are about the same when I used it as a regular drive to browse files n stuff.
While the laptop is still slow as forget, especially after boot, it doesnt crash windows explorer when opening file explorer so I got that going for me.

And now I have to use this laptop for about 3 weeks for school. Like running photoshop on it and whatsnot. S e n d   h e l p

Dont get a pascal gpu since it only emulates DX12
Nvm this too. It only emulates a small piece of DX12 and the stuff source I read it from took thing out of proportions.
You can view it here: https://m.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/3js11w/dx12_compatibility_chart/

This is really starting to piss me off. I recently installed Windows 10 but my loving on screen keyboard pops up every time I turn on my computer and log in. And EVERY TIME I OPEN TASK MANAGER OR ALT TAB. How do I turn this stuff off? I tried turning it off through ease of access in settings but it was already off and that did nothing

Sort of. It pops up everytime I press ctrl ALT delete. I tried all the steps in that guide, even the advanced one, and it STILL didn't fix it. On windows 7 I had it set so that the on screen keyboard pops up on startup because I didn't have a keyboard for a while but it never got this handicapped

So because my laptops hinge is completely forgeted and I cant order a new one or the pc repair shops cant either (still gotta go to the place I bought it so theres a slight chance) I need a new one.
Its for school and I have to use programs like photoshop, blender, after effects and whatsnot. Also light gaming too.
I was thinking of this ASUS with an i7 and 12Gigs of memory wich is p usefull for the applications or the cheaper ACER wich has an i5 and 8Gigs of memory wich will also work p good.
The screen resolution is lower (and I need a high one) but besides that itll work just as fine
Also I really want to try out an i7 too

Also bonus quote from this site I found somewhere

Are you a gamer? Than you will need a superfast processor, a graphics card and atleast 16GB's of RAM
kek

i've always found that for raw performance, these are way cheaper than the ones you find on amazon/newegg/etc

https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/category/notebook/

and you can customize them

kinda need to buy them from a local store but ill have a look

(this is all from memory, i could possibly be wrong)
be careful with cyberpowerpc because they use the kind of 'grey box' power supplies in their desktops and i wouldn't count on them using any better components in their laptops
i remember a post on reddit where one user's cyberpowerpc power supply blew up

laptops dont have a power supply?

Gaming ones do, which help them power the components inside

i mean dude from the name "power supply" it means something that supplies power so any battery could be a power supply
but i think you missed what i was talking about

no you're right

the desktop i had from them had a stuffbox psu in it that needed to be swapped immediately

it made a buzzing noise 24/7, on or off

but these laptops should be fine

the power brick is an external power supply.

yeah forget gray box power supplies, too sketch imo.

just swap it out for a simple EVGA one or something.
