I didn't even realize that you used torque

I just realized that too

I wish I could watch it. My dad's internet is utter garbage and Twitch doesn't allow for lower-quality video for some reason so I guess I'll have to watch it on YouTube or something...

I found out you have to be a partner to gain access to the lower quality settings. This is kind of lame, if anyone knows of another streaming service that allows multiple quality levels for free let me know.

So how do the dungeon textures work? Is it like the player sprites in that the stud overlay is added afterward or is it built in?

Also, is "You feel refreshed" a reference to what I think it is?

The stud overlay is added by the engine.

greenlight?

While I would love to put it on greenlight, I feel like it might be too soon.

Pls put a health bar over/under names. And make it out of cubes not hearts/bar. it'll be cooler c;

Yeah I definitely need to add some method to check your teammates health.

this might be what you mean but, he should make the health bar in the upper left out of the 3d stuff monsters are made of, so when you lose a heart it shatters and stuff. would look cool.

That would be neat, some effect to warn you that you've just taken a lot of damage would be nice. Right now I just have the default torque bloody screen which is kind of lame.

Yeah it doesn't look like it anymore. Like Badspot said in the video removing the default gui elements and chat box go a long way.

Beyond that I'm not using any of the default world rendering stuff from torque, so no dts or dif anymore. It's all built from cubes or sprites.

In case you guys missed it I uploaded part 2 of the stream to my youtube account, www.youtube.com/watch?v=QU3CGctSxBA

I was surprised at how well the stream went, I was fully expecting the game to crash or glitch out in some manner.

Hopefully we'll do more streams in the future.

you also sound really young lol.

You just want to break everything don't you?

Right at the start.

How is the stud overlay not slowing down the game? It's being repeated thousands of times.

Surely you are going to add chat right?

Well if you're playing on a pocket calculator that can only handle 3-bit numbers..

sweet

my old textures will still be functional
albeit I have no idea how they'll look with the studs

For the stud texture I use multi-texturing it hasn't caused any performance issues yet.

The game currently has chat but I have it disabled so it doesn't show up in screenshots or videos. The chat will basically be a clone of Blockland's chat box.

Looks pretty cool to me.

Remember you can always change the stud texture if you so choose.

Will there be anything like a map editor?

Will there be anything like a map editor?

pretty sure the maps are procedurally generated
