Also, currently working on some new custom bots! They won't be in the server, but I'm working on porting some old favourites with some more advanced features ;)

I don't see how could combining a 'Look-for-keys' in a Multiplayer RP server could work. I can clearly remember how frustrating it was to log into WB, looking for that god damned red key and stroll into that locked door and earning that shotgun, only to log out and lose the damn thing in the process, not to mention I don't see how could singleplayer quests could get along with multiplayer RPing, it's like MMOs in a way, let me explain how I see it:

A guy walks into the pub, bartender goes "Rescue my daughter", you rescue his daughter, return to the pub, and the quest resets, 5 other players stroll in, they all rescue his daughter AGAIN. in your point of view you just rescued her and she magically gets re-kidnapped or something. anyway, that was just an example.

However, disregarding everything I said I might give it a look, I could be very wrong.

Oh, also would love to help in any way possible, especially composing music.

Keep in mind, that this isn't designed to be a roleplay. It can easily facilitate roleplaying, but it won't be a key mechanic.

Also, in regards to items,

Item Saving
There will be camps/bases where players can save their inventory.
So, should you go out and get killed you can still recover your items should they be saved.
But, this also means if you get killed with an item before you could save it, you'll have to go get it again.
This is different from past projects where contributors, contests winners and admins could only have item lockers.

The key quest thing, is just an example on how you can progress through a story.
And once you unlock an area, I'm working to find a system that makes it unlocked to you for good.

This is going to be absolutely nothing like Winter Bite.

Currently, I'm not seeking to collaborate; it's far too early along production.

There was a key quest, if you recall the underground labs had locked doors, and some towers around the world were coloured and locked.
There were bits laying around that sort of explained an underlying story.

At the moment though, if you want to help, I'd happily take suggestions :)

For those a little confused, this is not going to be like Bluzone, or WinterBite or any other big roleplays.

It'll have a similar idea, yes, but the gameplay will be different.

Instead of being about player interaction, Backup Plan is going to be about world interaction, a little like an action puzzle where you can also do some co-op or light roleplaying. It's seriously, open ended. There's almost no restriction, if any at all.

I'm planning a fast travel system, but I haven't quite thought of a smooth system yet.
Although, Backup Plan will be using the practical and 100% less buggy and rapey teledoors.
