Author Topic: Running the mile tomorrow, give me some efficient tips so I don't kill myself.  (Read 3802 times)

I got 9:07. It may seem a long time for everyone else but I did trip in the beginning of the mile, lol.

I beat my old time by 1 minute, so at least I improved c:. Sadly, no one wanted to be my pace buddy because they all thought I was slow so I had to go around the track acting "weird" by pacing/saying "I don't know, do you know? Down 1.... Down 2.... Down 1, 2, 3, 4, 5." People looked at me like I was jogging with an imaginary squad but it helped me motivate myself I guess. I just tried to make it sound military, idfk it worked.

Of course no one really cared at the end xd

Ask your parents for money and drop by McDonalds mid break to fill up your energy with calories.

My first ever timed mile, at the tender age of 10, i clocked about 10 minutes. Doing a 5k parkrun on saturday so itl be nice to see the results of that come through :).

At the age of 10 I got like, 12 minutes.

I was never a guy with endurance, lol.

1 mile ain't nothing, try 3 miles under 30 mins

1 mile ain't nothing, try 3 miles under 30 mins
but...

thats not hard either

I have to run 2 kilometers and a half on 2 weeks so yeah.

I've done this stuff for about 6 years, I can't drink water and if you slow down then you're out. (There's literally cameras everywhere.)

I think my best was 8 minutes, if i'm not mistaken, out of 300 people, I usually come out 80-95.

Any recommendations for me, guys?

also good job, that time isn't bad

It seems like a good time to me, at least you're not one of those lazycigarettes that start walking halfway in

the mile isn't that hard

We run the mile at least once a week during good weather. I usually get about 13 minutes.
( edit for if you were wondering why i take so long- i have asthma and if i run too hard ill probably need my inhaler )

Are you unfit or just not trying
Because that's really slow

And oil
And grease
And fat
And trans fat

I love running. I liked to run local 5Ks back in Atlanta, I'd usually get around 25 and a half minutes.
