Well for one I want to be on a server with my gf, but we couldn't connect. Also what's even the point? I played for like 2 hours, exploring different places, building stuff, and nothing happened.

Please elaborate on the process you used to connect to a server. An issue with teh current launcher is that it's overcomplicated and can confused new players. This is a common feedback we get.

Do me a favor and try to connect to sm.elwyneternity.com:4242. If that doesn't work, screencap the launcher and post it here.
