Author Topic: Ubisoft removes female asassins in next asassin's creed - Tumblr loses it  (Read 19281 times)

no women in assassin's creed because they start problems like this

I still don't think the lack of a female protagonist in a game placed in an era where women were mostly powerless is a reason to riot, but tumblr. will find a way

Its Ubisofts explanation of the matter that truly sucks

The funny part is that they're only asking for the option to choose a female character, as Ubisoft originally planned.

If you didn't know, Unity will not have competitive multiplayer, but instead, co-op multiplayer. In which you can customize your character and assist people in their game.

This idea was scrapped because the "reality of production".

Off topic but is that picture from a game or was there some kind of episode where everything became 3D?
It was an episode called "A glitch is a glitch"

Yes because:
1) Watch Dogs was being worked on. (assuming Montreal does this one)
2) "reality of production" more like "didn't have enough time"

They said something like they'd have to redo 8000 animations or something, but like... do women really do things THAT much different than guys? I mean, I recall seeing a tweet from the "senior technical animator" on Watch Dogs saying that the combat motion caps for women were just about identical to the men.

Hold the forget on, unless these animations are the male assassins pulling out their richard and using it as a garrote, how the forget would adding female assassin's increase animation work at all? Obviously I can understand the modeling aspect with the customizable characters, but for forgets sake.

needs to show off the ass, rack, and hips more in each subtle move

cause you know, that's what the modern gaming market desires, RIGHT?!?!?

unless they're built like ultra girl- the consumer's won't like em!

Exactly what I was thinking. They'll need to mocap breasts waving and asses shaking during all those jumps and rolls.

if there was a female character in the game all the horny nerds would refer to this game as "ass's creed" instead

anita sarkeesian was right

anita sarkeesian was right

no no no

Ubisoft is just dumb

They forgeted up with Watch Dogs

they're going in a downward consumer relational spiral where Far Cry 4 is their only hope at this point

far cry 4 with hacks 30 limited editions

Don't they have something more important about the game to be complaining about? I don't know, like, physics issues or bugs or something? This just goes into the realm of preferential nitpicking.

It extends into a social issue which does arguably pervade gaming. There hasn't been too many fairly portrayed female protagonists in recent gaming years

as I'll restate, I'm not agreeing with the very lack of a female protagonist itself but rather ubisofts comments on giving up due to thinking that a female character would take way too much time to work into production (which it shouldn't!)
