Github Announcement

We have decided to go open source, meaning that (mostly) everything for BRV will go to a Github repository. Its a much better idea, since everyone can contribute to the project by submitting push requests to the repo. Or they can simply learn from the code.

This includes the actual addon as well as the chat server written in python. Its possible that whenever we get a website open (in the far future), I will upload the source code for it aswell.

I LOVE YOU
Edit: do you have to put the zip in or the file itself?

Pretty much all you need to do to use it is download the zip from the git, decompress it, and move System_BRV from the Client folder into Add-ons.
Currently there isn't much in the client since I'd like to get the server code done first.

Edit:
You should be able to grab it here now, just click raw to download it.

I've added them to the releases page.

Its good to see everything is ongoing again, I can't wait to test out server stuff once its released.

Edit: It seems I can't open the GUI, what is the keybind as it is not showing up as a option to bind in settings?

The key is Insert for now. Are you sure you extracted the zip from the right folder? If you go to the releases page on github, there you can download the addons directly and paste it to the addons folder.

I believe the stable release might have a syntax issue, I'll take a look.
If it was before I fixed a syntax issue in the IRC module it does, and needs to be updated.

Stable release has been updated, it was what I thought.

Got it, on a side note, once the full version is out, will it be updating through support_updater or will it have its own auto update system?

Oh yeah! I'm not that great at graphics myself, but I know a website with over 2000 free SVG (also downloadable as PNG) icons that doesn't even require attribution. I highly recommend using them.

It depends, probably its own updating system once we get a VPS. But we haven't decided yet.

WOWW!! I love how they are only two colors. Clean and simple. We might even replace FamFamFam with them.

I figured they would look nice with the transparent black (if recolored white, of course - there's an option for that on the download page) of the current Blockland UI.

These are way better than FamFamFam, it gives an even more original look, and makes it look like something else other than all the other failed RTB replacements!

Please do.

I'd personally would like to have our own updating system, that is if we can get our own VPS.

Ooh, those are nice. Thanks for showing us.

Woha! Looks amazing! Wish I had the idea first! Oh wait...
