Bell looks for the third Viggen.

Faw takes a 10-second cooldown to make sense of the situation around him. He mutters to himself the details of the battle around him like a crazy person recounting the names of all the cats he's accidentally starved to death over the years.

"Less than a half dozen Jaguars left... almost done here."

"That jet is trying to brown townly violate Junkers... what a stuffty guy."

Faw banks to the right and sets his sights on the Viggen tailing Junkers and lets loose a Heatseeker missile.

I assume you meant the Viggen that got chased off by Bell, in which case the heatseeker pops its engines clean off.

I close my air brakes and hit the afterburner, continuing to pursue the apparently pompous Jaguar. Yet again I fire my AC/5 at it, holding the trigger until a temperature warning pops up on my HUD.

"[Hold the insults for when you're winning the battle.]"

: [We are.]

As the words are broadcasted over the radio, Oracle pulses onto your comms.

: Mjolnir, I am reading three large hovercraft heading for the shoreline. Alongside what appears to be two destroyers. Advise you take care of that last Jaguar and have your own take down those naval units.

The Jaguar banks left and is slowed by Talisman's flak just long enough for you to shred into the roosterpit with the AC/5.

I lock on to the last Jaguar with a heatseeker and spray it with a bit of flak before breaking off to spray a Viggen with some more flak, and my last heatseeker.

The Viggen does not have a fun time, and has a fair amount of metal sheared off of it. It's rather clearly on its last legs.

Bell looks for the third Viggen.

You get two for the price of one, chasing Oxide, who has apparently fallen asleep in the roosterpit. That's not going to end well. Steele is already engaging one.

I sigh and fire a bit more flak into the Viggen, then head to the AWACS for resupply on two heatseekers and the largest unguided bomb I can fit on here.

I follow Talisman to the AWACS in order to get a better ship killing armament. I open up the damage brown townysis tab in my HUD to see exactly what I should be wary of, and I retract my flaps.

I disarm the cluster deploying mechanism in my cluster bomb, and drop it in the enemy navy's rough direction for good measure.

"I'd like the biggest bomb you've got the schematics for to be mounted on my belly hardpoint, please."

Bell fires a RGM at the last Jaguar, waiting for the plane to evade so that she can fire off her last heatseeker and move out to resupply.

The RWR going absolutely batstuff crazy, snapping me out of whatever just happened. I see the aircraft has been flying itself for the last ten minutes.

I panics and dump countermeasures, and yank the stick right and pull.

I knew I was going to miss this stuff, I was out doing stuff last night. I also have drivers Ed for the next two hours. Someone can RP my character until I get back but don't kill him.

just have a mechanical failure and retreat

I sigh and fire a bit more flak into the Viggen, then head to the AWACS for resupply on two heatseekers and the largest unguided bomb I can fit on here.

It makes an attempt to evade, but flak doesn't play ball in terms of evasion. The aircraft is torn apart.

The damage brown townysis tab indicates minor structural issues, the kind that would be seen after high-g maneuvers or excessive speed or continuous fire from a weapon not necessarily meant to go on planes. I'm going to take "I disarm the cluster deploying mechanism in my cluster bomb" very seriously and not make assumptions. You ensure that the bomb will only detonate on impact, then toss it in the general direction of the enemy navy. It doesn't hit them, but it does explode underneath the water, producing a sizable wave and slowing the fleet slightly.

: Understood, Junkers. Biggest bomb we have available.

Your aircraft shudders underneath the sudden and unexpected weight of a bomb meant to destroy buildings. (You got a Bigger Bomb is what I'm getting at)

Bell fires a RGM at the last Jaguar, waiting for the plane to evade so that she can fire off her last heatseeker and move out to resupply.

Both missiles slam into the carcass of the aircraft. (The last Jaguar is already dead, and the only air support is the Viggen chasing Oxide.)

You return to Oracle without much incident, and request a resupply of your prior loadout.

: We can resupply the one HSM you've spent, everything else is too complex to replicate by COMRO.

You elaborate on what you want, and Oracle reciprocates. You now have two extra AGMs and two extra bombs.

The RWR going absolutely batstuff crazy, snapping me out of whatever just happened. I see the aircraft has been flying itself for the last ten minutes.

I panics and dump countermeasures, and yank the stick right and pull.

Your aircraft grumbles and shudders at the sudden movement, and the Viggen overshoots straight past you.

"Cheers."

I break away from our group huddle around the AWACS and I climb over the enemy fleet. Then I dive-- almost vertically-- on one of their destroyers, ensuring that if my weaponry hits, it's hitting the thinnest armor.

I fire half of my FEAR rockets at it, along my wing-mounted bombs. (big bombs. could we, uh, get some better names for the bombs?)

I deploy my air brakes and pull up to face one of the hovercraft. I fire the last of my FEAR rockets at it and drop the bomb I was gifted by AWACS. Once my rocket pods are empty, I begin climbing again, and I retract my air brakes, followed by the kick of my afterburners.

Bell heads towards the hovercrafts at a fairly low altitude, locking an AGM onto the side of a hovercraft that isn't being attacked and releasing it after getting within range. She pulls up and hits the afterburners to gain altitude. "Hopefully that missile will connect." She mutters to herself, banking right to get another pass at the fleet.

"Hey AWACS, could I get a resupply? Two heatseekers and the largest unguided bomb I can fit on here?"
I maneuver into position for resupply.

I correct my course and follow the Viggin. It rolls and starts to turn. I follow. The HSMs grumble. I fire two of them. I can here them release and their motors ignite. Two little lights scurry off into the distance.

A rather large amount of the destroyer was hit by the heavy munitions, fires igniting as the rockets and bombs slammed into it. Unfortunately for you, you got spiked by an anti-air missile while diving, and that did fire. Even more unfortunately for you, as you dived, the anti-air guns on the destroyer managed to attain a lock, and several hits. Your plane is now warning you of severe structural damage. You are unable to continue on your strafe against the hovercraft without being hit, and that will most likely take your aircraft straight into the watery depths.

She pulls up and hits the afterburners to gain altitude. "Hopefully that missile will connect." She mutters to herself, banking right to get another pass at the fleet.

As you drop to altitude, you hear the distinct sound of a radar lock, and then the significantly more alarming sound of rounds streaking past your aircraft. As you continue on your attack run, the anti-air fire of one of the destroyers becomes more accurate, and a few rounds manage to impact on non-essential parts of your aircraft. The AGM drops and fires, hitting the side of the hovercraft and blasting a grisly hole into the side. A small fire catches, and a few Huitz marines dive out quickly into the ocean. Those that remain keep the hovercraft going.

: Copy, Talisman. Two heatseekers and a UGB-250 are being replicated to your aircraft now.
The alien blue light weighs your aircraft down with munitions, and you're cleared to re-engage.

I correct my course and follow the Viggin. It rolls and starts to turn. I follow. The HSMs grumble. I fire two of them. I can here them release and their motors ignite. Two little lights scurry off into the distance.

The two HSMs fired in quick succession are easily spoofed by a single burst of flares, and the Viggen quickly does an S-turn to bleed speed, quickly ending up neck-to-neck with you, then slightly behind you. A quick prattle of RAC fire and subsequent damage gives you something to think about.

Enemy Forces:
Heavy Hovercraft 2x [UNDAMAGED]
Heavy Hovercraft 1x [HEAVY DAMAGE]
Destroyer 1x [UNDAMAGED]
Destroyer 1x [HEAVY DAMAGE]
Saab 37 Viggen 1x [LIGHT DAMAGE]

"stuff. Destroyer got me good. Still flying, but I think I'm gonna have to stick with missiles now."

As I climb back to the AWACS to get AGMs, I drop the rather large payload on my belly towards the hovercraft I had planned to properly strafe. Because of the climb it's probably not going to be accurate, but the damn thing's nearly a bunker buster. A near miss might hit its engines, or something.

On her second pass, she stays at a fairly high altitude and lines up the bomb sight with the undamaged destroyer, she releases both of her bombs and banks away, out of the range of the Destroyers and keeping her fingers on the countermeasure buttons.

"AWACS, give the ground forces some advance warning if we aren't able to stop the landing craft in time." She speeds away and comes back around so that she has a better view of the small fleet.
