Marth you just space around him until he throws something laggy out (scrubs will abuse fsmash) then punish accordingly... if only you could dash dance in 4

mario kinda sucks to play against, none of his moves are really laggy except maybe fair and he can uptilt you a million times and almost always follow up on a down throw

haha what marth sucks so much
you can basically punish any of his moves if you shield them and he doesn't have any grab follow ups (dthrow to uair kinda works on some heavy characters at low percents but it's not really a combo...)
all of his aerials are pretty laggy too, if he misses you can punish
his tippers are really hard to hit and there's no way for him to get you to tipper ranges

yeah also this marth doesn't have the reach to be a threat in the air.
cloud vs marth is abysmal from an experience standpoint.

i believe he means "if only there was a point to dashdancing in smash 4" because the range is so short and the amount of time you have to dashdance makes it both hard to pull off and not very useful since most attacks will outlast your dashdance because it covers little range and little time

Dash dancing ≠ That
Main benefit of dash dancing is being able to change your movement over a relatively long period after the starting animation while maintaining speed to dupe your opponent.  That image's short movement is the strategic equivalent of standing still.

that is running around in the same spot.  you don't really move so you can't generally bait out an attack from the opponent.  MAYBE it can be used to confuse them a little or so that you could dash back, but it's more effort than its worth.

I main IC's and Ness in Melee.

I host the set Ness skype chat and used to host the IC's chat.
