Blockland Glass 4.2

Hope the issues with your host gets settled. Also, any plans on getting the RTB Archive section on the website working? It's only listing the first 15 addons in a category, with no way to go to the next page.

Is this Add-On still alive?

no it dieded rip
"dieded"
We need to make this an actual word.

Is this really the first time you see someone say that?

I was looking through the GitHub repo for Blockland Glass Live and the client, which boondangled my jingle janglies.

How would Blockland Glass (as a client) capture a server image, upload it through the network, then tell the client that it's the image? Where does the image come from? What is used to take a picture?

Look at the image above.  My monitor is 2560x1440 so pagestretch is a hassle.

How can anyone read this spaghetti?

the image just seems to be the ip and the port, so it shouldn't be too hard to get it. E.g. http://image.blockland.us/detail/74-91-123-129_28000.jpg

What hardware does Blockland Glass use for its live hosting?

Makes me wonder how often images update, if they ever update at all.

i think it updates with webcom_postserver() which happens every 10 mins iirc

Blockland generates the server image by raytracing it extremely slow in the background. When it's done, it'll create an image, upload it to the site and start over. This is part of the engine, blockland glass has nothing to do with it.

Unfortunately the cache settings are wrong so for most servers it updates once every never.

is there any issue with support_preferences related to glass? many ppl i talked with said it was oudated, the archive corrupted and that was from glass. any ideas?

Support_Preferences is maintained and largely made by us, and I believe Glass is the only thing that uses it, so there aren't compatibility issues. It seems like a good handful of people suffer from having mismatched versions, which is why we opted to include a message that notifies users of such.

The next update to Glass will include a largely rewritten Support_Preferences that makes the system much cleaner and operate more consistently, however that still won't resolve people's issue with having the wrong version installed.

the archive corrupted and that was from glass
I have no idea what this means.
