Why is Tezuni and his servers so despised?

"Commendable" does automatically mean "beneficial to all of humanity." How the hell does that make sense.

I get that he made it sound like only things that benefit humanity are commendable, and that's blatantly wrong.
I don't get how saying players must hate themselves in order to play (sarcastically of course) relates to his false concept of commendability though.

Not an issue or complaint. I'm just curious about how those things are linked, since I myself can't see the connection.

This is very accurate. Take the BL steam sale for example. His server was packed because it's the server that had the most people at the time so obviously it had to be good because it had people on it right? That's pretty much the mentality of all new players and because of this and since Tez's server was probably the first one they visited they would become return costumers, totally naive.

Sure, new players will probably check out the most popular server, but that doesn't mean they'd keep returning just because it was popular.
If it was truly atrocious and unenjoyable then they wouldn't continue returning and playing if they hated it just because they thought it was popular.
And if they didn't enjoy it they wouldn't return even if there were no other servers. They'd just not play Blockland.

The gameplay of the server isn't horrible. It has very simple appeal; it's rather mindless fun that can be addicting, such as mentioned earlier, like a phone game.

I think you are severely overestimating the majority of Blockland's playerbase. Many of them don't use the forums, and that's something I'm quite thankful for. The unfortunate fact is that from what I've seen is that they're mostly dumb kids. Like, dumb kids. forget, a large part of why I don't host much anymore is because I've just gotten tired of dealing with them, lol. They're going to be easily influenced and super susceptible to what they first encounter, and will expect it to be the norm.

This is what made me stop hosting. Having to deal with bratty little kids and autistic teens, I just said forget it. I ain't getting anything out of this.

But mindless fun is still fun, surely. People play mobile games because they keep them entertained. Sure, it's not high-brow like an opera, or exhillerating like a roller coaster, or as challenging as many games, but you still have to enjoy it even an inkling to even bother.

Or am I seriously out of touch with how people/children act?
I'm certain that when I was 13 I wouldn't do something i didn't enjoy.
I used to play a lot of family rps, but now I see they're stuff and no fun for me, but I definitely only played them because I did enjoy them.
I can't really imagine that the same isn't true for the people who play on tezunis.

i think he wanted to leave a good server up, despite whatever happened. you can hate it hear and there, but it still has some damn quality and has been up for quite a long time. like why the forget doesn't tez get a trophy for atleast holding the server together for some time

Well it's more that I just don't have the same amount of free time I used to.  I very much enjoy making new stuff, like the gravity speedkart edit i demo'd last week.  It's very easy for people to forget the amount of stuff I've made. 

People like taboo have tons of free time, but spend it whining like a little bitch.  I've never seen one of his servers, and I doubt it'd stand up to the majority of my own.

If I had "tons of free time", I'd have a weapon pack released and a server up, lol.
If you actually think that posting on this forum takes a significant enough amount of time to mean that I have "tons of free time", I once again have to question the legitimacy of whatever adult concerns you seem so intent to cry about. You don't seem to understand something as simple as multitasking, although it's really barely even multitasking when posting here takes maybe a minute at most at a time.

I personally don't see a problem with his donation system. I wouldn't want to pay out of pocket to host servers for others to play for free. Even if he makes profit, whats the issue? I'm sure any of you would do the same. I know I would. Call me terrible, but when you work 2 jobs, sometimes 17 days straight with one day off. Why complain about some extra money on the side?

That's what it takes to live. stuff gets expensive when you are older.
