Alright just SHUT THE PANDA UP. THATS RIGHT! I TYPED OUT PANDA! NOT THE WORD THAT GETS REPLACED WITH PANDA! DEAL WITH IT!!!
Anywho, this argument between 0002 and retail is just asinine. Its just like debating which is better: Halo or Marathon. Halo would probably win (I'm not sure, but I'm 95% sure that it would win...) but yet, people still play it.
Why? BECAUSE WE ARE CHEAP! (Wait... Thats my reason) Oh, and its more open source. Deal with it.
Its also like an deciding which is better: books or ebooks. eBooks are more portable, take up less room (a whole library on your PDA!), and are more accessible. Why doesn't everyone have a ebook then?
Well, either they lack the means to get one, or its too expensive, right? Well, yeah, but theres another reason...
There is something about a book that ebooks will never (well, with now day technology) be emulated. Theres a certain connection between a reader and a printed piece of literature that is appealing. Maybe its the texture, maybe its the author of this post being too metaphoric, but there is just something about that outdated piece of dead tree material...
Same with 0002. There is more to it than just the game. Its the experiences, ideas, and people behind it keeping it alive. Until you emulate that (or tell me it wont cost $40), I will join you. Until then, no way.
The reason I say the cost of retail is $40 is due to the fact that Blockland Retail v2 will probably also cost $20. I ain't going to pay twice. Either tell me that accounts will roll over, or don't plan on making a new version...
One more thing, Keal says "Hi!"
