As far as entrepreneur in believes this is the new model for Retail, that is - no arms or legs.

Although I think it's just a glitch from the new hands and feet because I am a freaking idiot. :nes:  :cookie:

This last minute improvement is due to Ben Garney's tireless work on oct tree based culling and vertex buffer object implementation.  Right now he's working on re-ordering things so that hardware occlusion queries work better.  Good stuff.  I'm working on getting the online store working with the user database, and then I'll be working on cleaning up the new player model.

Thats... godly. Lag won't exist on my computer now. You deserve every cent your about to gain. I wonder if thats you retired on release. Just patch it as a hobby?

This is quite impressive but how is ping? If ping is high it this wont help much.

Are the models without arms the official new models?

Ping is dependent on your network connection, server load, and your distance from the server.  The big problem with lag on v2 comes from people hosting non-dedicated servers and then getting low frame rate.  Their computer is spending so much time rendering frames that it doesn't have time to send any network packets (thus you get lag).  Improving the frame rate should help this situation because the host computer will be a lot less stressed.

The phantom limbs are the way it's going to be.  The boxy guys were just too much like lego to avoid getting sued.  CRC checking on player models will be off, so you can replace the model with whatever you want.

Will there be any better support for us dedicated server folk or will we have to manage like how it is on the current blockland?

Who's next on your murder list?
It's pretty much random although I usually kill uglies. Let us stop this discussion now.

How is the rating going to go about?  As in age rating.  Will your game need to be rated by GG?

You can save and load on a dedicated server, ban and un-ban for specific periods of time and provide reasons for the bans.  You can tell who has planted what bricks even after they have left the server (and ban them too).  You can clear a specific user's bricks.  All testing has been done on a dedicated server so pretty much all the features work.

The dedicated server doesn't auto-update though and you can't run the mission editor.

Did lego actually disapprove of the models, or are you just changing them as a precaution?

I think your more likely to get sued from rayman team for that model than lego for the old model.  Just my opinion, either way I'm going to mod my own legs and arms back in like they were.
