No offense, but no one that doesn't play Blockland now isn't going to pay for this.  Not over the internet anyway.

I think you're wrong. It's being published, and even if it isn't by EA games it's going to bring some publicity to the game. And paying via internet is so convenient. I won't have to leave my chair!

Also, what happened to your dealings with Lego, Badspot? Last I heard before these non-lego started popping up you were talking about working with them.

About the screenshots: How come that in some of the screens the bricks look kind of wobbly? Like the flag one? Is it static or do these bricks move?

Very interesting.

EDIT: Oops, I missed your message explaining the wobbly effect, entrepreneur in.

And the Lego situation failed, as they wanted to give a whole team to the project and throw Badspot out, as far as I remember.

It's one of the features; jello bricks.

Some kind of jello effect, IIRC from earlier in the thread.
I really think people need to move on from the whole "Lego" thing though. If RtB-R ends up coming out, then you're limiting all these new features.

I can't wait to buy this, wow. I can't argue with the new player model, I think it looks good. Kind of like those cheap imitation Lego blocks.

EDIT: I think it looks like this version keeps the charming simplicity of the v0002 beta, and still has these fancy features and the speed increase and all.

So are there any rendering enhancements besides square bricks being rendered better? I've read on plenty of sites that TGE's art pipeline royally blows, and this has been the case for most of my "low-lag" builds that mainly consist of primitives. Is this being fixed?

Being published by EA is one of the worst case scenarios because since they released crap tastic games like cat woman EA has gone to the S-H-I-T

lol the new Brick Decals make me dizzy because of the Way they kindda look 3D.. eh

Also i got a Question for Badspot
Are you using a New TGE or the old one thats being used for v0002, because people whould notice Your server in the list...

Good work on it soooo far, Also I whouldn't put your "Hentai" into the new Blockland... thats just another good way to get sued...

Any brick that is created in the new system benefits from the speed increase.  I've created my own file format and rendering system which is a lot faster than using the general purpose dts objects in v0002.  The complaints about TGE's art pipeline you've read are almost certainly about the DTS exporter and DIF tools which can be quite difficult to use.  But that really only affects development process, not the in-game experience.

I'm using TGE 1.3, with the 1.4 interior code patched in to fix some performance problems.  It wouldn't matter either way as I have created my own master server which is a lot faster and more reliable than the GG server.

Don't worry, I know when and where that sort of thing is appropriate.  That's what age of time is for

@Part 1:  Wow, quite an accomplishment : )   Question though; will someone like myself be able to create a brick pack or other "static" object or map for this?

@Part 2: Oh, nice.  1.3.  Are there water vehicle enhancements to the code, also?

@Part 3:  I lol'd.

haha thats good, cool on the new "better" master server. the old one can get jumpy :/

Facechild and I got bored and brought all the horses out of the window, around the side using scaffolding, and into the container. We smashed the bridge, and all that was left was a container, oddly fixed to a door knob.

I didn't get a picture of it, but entrepreneur in and I built a working slide, you actually slide down it, sitting with your arms up in the air, not skiing or crouching or something. There was a jump at the end, and we put a horse at the end of it, and after sliding down the slide and taking the ramp up in the air, you landed on the horse. Too bad we were both too lazy to run fraps, haha.

There should be a /dance ...Makes the 'Blocko' dude do the robot.

God, I'm getting so worked up about this... I just can't wait...

Me too  :panda:  Hope Badspot sees my questions.
