legit texas my dude. thats south enough for snow to be a rare occasion, so a hot december isnt unheard of down there. ask anyone who lives there, I have friends who live there and they joke all the time with me about how winter sucks and thats why they even moved/live there just like some of my florida friends. They (florida friends) got other stuff to deal with like hurricanes and sinkholes, but it's like someone from there saying to me "Haha noob, it hardly ever snows here! But when it does, I blame climate change!" rlly?. and that's not even taking weather modification into consideration

great idea actually. just keep doing that, you might knock some sense into yourself

Dear Leader isn't in favor of student loan forgiveness. He has consistently made motions to make student loans worse for those who have them. He forcefully started garnishing wages recently.
Ah yes, I too want 90 degree Christmas. I hate cars, really hate cars. But if i had to choose I'd rather the one that uses modern technology to not bake us all alive.
If you are this dense I'm not even going to bother reading the rest. When the forget was there ever a 90 degree christmas? Not in my entire lifetime or any of my parents, or their parents, or their parents, etc. Unless you live in the south, this has never happened to you or ANYONE in the past century. Did you get to see Santa in his bathing suit? Man, have fun next time you go on a road trip with your family and your stranded in the boonies with no chargers around for the next hundred or so miles. Oh by the way, do you even comprehend the strain charging vehicles cause to the electric grid and how much coal and natural gas need to be burned to supply all those vehicles with a charge each and every day? I'll give you a hint: it's way more than a traditional gas vehicle or a hybrid uses. Oh, and natural gas burns extremely clean as do most modern day coal factories in the country. Are you aware of how much mining lithium damages the environment compared to burning traditional fossil fuels? Sounds like you've been brain washed except this time your just on the other side of the shtick. Try harder bro

Biden was blocked by the courts; student loan forgiveness would have been a good economic boost for young Americans trying to own homes and/or start familes. I don't think it's very fair to say his administration just did nothing.
That's actually true, and you're right. I'm all for the student loan forgiveness - espesially with the price of college nowadays.

Which parts do you like
It would take too long to meticulously go through and post everything I agree / disagree with, but I can list some that I like:

  • End "federal mandate" and subsidies of electric vehicles.
  • Reverse the Inflation Reduction Act's expansion of the IRS.
  • Reduce regulations on cryptocurrencies.
  • End data collection on gender identity. The CDC will no longer process transgender identity data
  • Deploy active-duty personnel and National Guardsmen to the border
  • Issue rules and guidance that "love" is properly understood as a fixed biological fact
  • Withdraw from the World Health Organization
  • Expand natural gas infrastructure
  • Prohibit use of "aborted fetal cells" in developing vaccines
  • Ban "critical race theory" and "gender ideology" from public school curriculum
  • Cut off federal funds to states, cities, counties, schools board, principals, and teachers who disagree with "parental rights"
  • Expand apprenticeship programs

This is in no particular order, and if I'm being honest after going through a lot of this I disagree with the majority of it. That's not to say there aren't some appealing things in here, but that's why it's up to us to do our research on this stuff and vote against obviously terrible ideas/laws.

her laugh was mega annoying
Yeah, that's what it was for me. They couldn't hold a serious conversation if they tried - not a great candidate for president if you can't take things seriously; hence why I called em "Clownamala"

6
Personally, i'd rather have had Joe "Nothing Ever Happens" Biden or whatever Kamala Harris' presidency would have been instead of Donald "Total Collaps of a Country, But At Least This One Longstanding Issue Is Now Fixed" Annoying Orange...
Clownamala Harris would have been much worse, even worse than sleepy joe, I would bet on that

takes away all their rights and income
I don't know what reality you're living in but that certainly hasn't been the case. There were literally tax breaks specifically for income, like what lol

Are your politics just "lmao, trolololo, epicly own the minorities and trigger the lefties"? You do know that voting in the fascist handicap wont make life better for anyone other than rich white people?
No, my politics are "use common loving sense" it doesn't have to be a left vs right argument - and it shouldn't be. Also, I didn't vote for Annoying Orange. As a matter of fact during his first term I made a topic here specifically calling him out as a potential political dictator and everyone gave me stuff for it. Big surprise there

7
some of the project 25 stuff doesn't seem all that bad tho, not that I agree with all of it. separately, the obbba made it so there is no tax on overtime and tips on the federal level

at least some stuff is getting done vs sleepy joe standing there talking about ice cream for 4 years

8
When did anyone say this was right? It never should have gotten to this point.
Nobody here explicitly, except maybe for what Mr. Bones said could imply they think it was a good thing. But there are plenty of goons out there celebrating it

Guns should not be in the hands of people who are that unstable, rhetoric should not get so divisive that we start seeing political violence like this.
thnx, thats all I needed to hear; and probably one of the more sensible things you've said during this discussion

If he wanted to be respected in death, he should have been respectful in life.
dude got murdered for having an opinion. you don't have to respect him but you should be able to admit that it was wrong

10
For crimes such as this, they would be lucky if they got life in prison.

they wont get death penalty or anything based on the state where it happened, you can only qualify for death penalty if its your 3rd felony, and one of the guys only has one prior conviction, the other doesn't have any
damn, that's wild

they honestly deserve this punishment for taking a life. It may not mean much coming from me, but any and all political views aside; I am genuinely sad for your loss, Ladios. Losing a brother is tough ):

forget Charlie Kirk I hope his grave is made into a public toilet lol. Having Airforce One do an honor flyby for some Annoying Orangeer that wasn't even an elected official is mind boggling. Meanwhile actual elected officials were assassinated in MN and Annoying Orange and his cronies didn't give a dirty forget.
hot take lol. they've done more for less tho

Where's the flyby for the kids who got killed on their first day of school? Scum of the earth.

yeah here's a pic of the fruit cake who did that btw. scum of the earth is putting it lightly

And then there's everything Annoying Orange has been saying about Tylenol, insulting all the world leaders to their faces at the U.N., refusing to release the Epstein files, thus forcing the Democrat side to (successfully) pull together signatures just so we can have a sliver of a chance at getting the Epstein files released through a collective vote, the list just goes on and on
Although I steer away from big corp pharmaceuticals, any person with 2 brain cells knows the Tylenol thing is bullstuff. That's not whats causing autism; it's all the other stuff they get us with in our water, food, and medicine. Also, by now we should know that anything which makes Annoying Orange look bad, he will quickly dismiss (as does any politician, big surprise there!)

Yall need to break free from this 2 party system bullstuff. They are not on your side, they just want you on theirs.

You dont make yourself very clear at all you just argue for the sake of arguing - your logic itself is entirely inconsistent you seem to just justify whatever you feel like under the guise of you being open minded
Sorry your having a hard time interpreting my posts correctly. I don't understand why you think I'm being inconsistent, but I will attempt deliver my message in a more simple approach:

I believe in free speech. I think what happened to Charlie was wrong. People who think that him being murdered is a good thing or funny are allowed to have that opinion, even if it makes them look bad.

More commonly now days employers monitor your social media and will fire or suspend you if you talk about politics or post something they don't like, that's just a sad reality we live in. I do not trust, nor like big corporations or the modern federal government.

That's a poor argument and you know it. There is no "they," it's you and me. We make the rules, or at least, we used to. If we're not going to stand up for anything, that's how con-men like Annoying Orange get into power and erode our democracy like this.
We are a democratic republic - and we do make the rules, to a certain degree. If you vote someone into a position of power and they abuse it, you have to vote them out. That's how it's supposed to be, and for most state & local level government this remains true. However, the modern federal government system pretty much does whatever the hell they want because it's grown out of control. Big federal government is exactly what the founding fathers were worried about and why they wrote the constitution to protect our rights. This brings to mind one of Charlie Kirk's speeches, where he talked about the second amendment and why it was put there - which is so that citizens should be able to protect themselves against the government and any other threat to their wellbeing or personal freedom.

maybe the issue is that yall are so used to far left or far right arguments, when someone shows up in the middle ground just using common sense it throws you for a loop? That's where all this political hate stems from in the first place, and it's exactly how main stream media use the two party system to divide people. people need to wake up and see thru this b.s

well i have a response but im getting a database error lol
Oh that happened to me too, it's just forum jank, remove any special characters and make sure everything is web safe. It's usually quotation marks and em dashes the forum can't stand

There are probably more than this, but these are the most common in my experience

What, uh, what rule was broken that the FCC is enforcing? Kimmel said nothing hateful, inflammatory, he didn't shout 'fire' in a building, he didn't threaten anyone, he didn't even use a "naughty word" to bleep.
whatever rule they want because it's the government and they make the rules. I don't like it anymore than you do but that's just how it is

This is a pretty cut and dry instance, you can say "yeah this is wrong" without the "but [x,y,z]," and be fine with it. Adding anything else on is defending the action. Either it's wrong or it isn't.
the world isn't black and white, there is pretty much always going to be some underlying circumstances or context involved. Regardless, I think I made myself pretty clear when I said:

I certainly don't think it should be taken off air for speaking his mind
it really doesn't get any more direct than that, or did you skip over that part? cuz i feel like we're just goin in circles here

If you defend this, just know, you are defending demonstrable infringement on freedoms of speech and expression way, way, way more important than Mod-man being allowed to say the N-word with his homies.
I didn't defend it? as a matter of fact I did the opposite when I said

do I agree with that? personally, no

and

I certainly don't think it should be taken off air for speaking his mind

The FCC isnt a boss with an HR department, its a federal agency that my taxes pay for. They dont decide which hosts ABC keeps or suspends. Disney and ABC are the ones who pulled Kimmel, not the FCC. Pretending "well, his employer can do whatever they want" is missing the point: his employer only did it after political pressure from the FCC chair, which makes it a government-driven punishment for speech. Thats not a private HR issue, thats the state leaning on media. Exactly the kind of authoritarianism conservatives pretend to be terrified of when its anyone but their guy in power.
I understand that, but you're missing the big picture

Quote from: nytimes
As F.C.C. chair, Mr. Carr wields power over the broadcast licenses that are granted to local TV stations by the federal government
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/17/business/media/abc-jimmy-kimmel.html

The FCC's sole existence is to regulate what is considered "suitable" for broadcast television & radio. I'm not a fan of any sort of government regulation but the fact remains that it exists, and the networks who receive federal funding are obligated to follow their 'rules'. whatever they may be....

so if Kimmel really cares about getting his voice out there, he might want to consider starting an independent show or podcast that isn't on a network regulated by the federal government.
