7770 is the best one
It's equal to or better than the 6870

My friend is looking to get a new desktop, his parents won't let him build one, but he can buy a prebuilt and add extra ram and a good GPU.

If anyone here could reccommend a build for ~$700, preferably with a sandy bridge i5, this would be extremely helpful.

Where can I find this information so I can tell you?
Look for a product number on the side of your machine and go to the manufacturer's website.

I've been hearing that the 6850 was good for BF3, but I'm not sure. I want to be able to hit 60-70 fps on highest resolution and medium graphics settings. Prices should be under $150 too...
I have a gtx 550 TI and it hits 60 with Medium. A 7770 is slightly better, and a 6850 is better than the 7770. Go from there.

It's a Toshiba and it says "Satellite c655-s5305 System Unit"

Is this what I am supposed t be looking for? And when I searched it on the Toshiba site, there wasn't a c655, just a c650.

So I can't seem to find an answer to my question, I have spent some time searching online for it, and I have asked several friends from my programming class.

How good is a GTX 660 video card?

I haven't been able to get a definitive answer to this.

What do you want to use it for? What do you want to compare it to in order to be considered good?

Battlefield 3 ultra settings with this card will get you a average of 57 FPS, depending on everything else in your system.

Yeah I'm on it. Just one question, is your hard drive a 7200RPM model at least? It would be worth upgrading if it isn't.
im a little late and no it is not
