I've been throwing around doing something in the vain of demon's souls/dark souls where you leave behind a grave that gives a clue how you died. But nothing concrete yet, the idea of leaving behind items could be cool.

if you could leave items behind with inscriptions on them like something like "player was here" that would totally be worth dropping a sword of infinity+1
