I hold out my fist for a fist bump.

She reciprocates immediately, her face changing from seriousness to a somewhat friendly grin. "Come on, that's the oldest awkward handshake avoidance in the book. Now a high-five would've been right out of left field." She gives a quiet chuckle. The silver-haired woman from before, as well as the girl with the short, shoulder-length haircut come out from behind the corner. Both of them have light smiles on their faces. The one with silver hair gives you a thumbs-up from behind the blonde, and it suddenly occurs to both you and the girl that neither of you know each other's names. She awkwardly steps back, clearing her throat.

I smile, pat Steele on the shoulder, and head off to my room. I've been delayed four times now.

"I never actually learned your name. Mine's Jacov Steele, by the way. Nice to properly meet you."

"Yamato Matsumoto. That's last-first, by the way."
The silver-haired woman chimes in, startling Matsumoto. With a quick wave she introduces herself, "Musashi Sakuya, Raiden squadron, position 2. It's a pleasure."
Her shorter companion introduces herself as well, her voice quiet in comparison to... well everybody else, really. "Hyuuga Mako, position 5."

"N-nice to meet you all," I say, slightly startled that everyone introduced themselves in such a short amount of time, but still smiling politely.

I freeze, and sigh. I just remembered that I never retrieved my pistol's ammunition.

[Those techies have probably made themselves useful and left by now...]

I begin the hell march to the hall where I left my magazine. Here's to hoping nobody's there.

Sakuya looks down the hallway, noting some traffic, even at this hour. "Would you like to take this somewhere else, Steele? I don't feel particularly comfortable blocking traffic like this. The rec room, perhaps?"

I freeze, and sigh. I just remembered that I never retrieved my pistol's ammunition.

You walk back into the hangar where you beaned the smug Kinth in the face with a double-stacked, fully loaded, .40 caliber handgun magazine. There's still security personnel around, their guns pointed down. You look around for the mag for a while, before a voice stops you.
"Looking for something?"
It's sounds familiar, and distinctly feminine.

I cut the stuff short, and ask the guards if I'm no longer allowed to carry ammo for my pistol.

After her MiG is brought up to flying condition, Bell gets busy on making minor adjustments to the work that the technicians already did. She double-checked the engines and the control surfaces. "Well, at least they covered up the bullet holes." She jumped down from the wing after establishing that the repairs were satisfactory, she couldn't be too sure with the busy jobs that they had at the base.

Bell got a sandwich from the mess hall and went back towards the hangar, stopping when she saw John in the hall.
