Achievements could be shown online if you don't gain anything from having them, then people may not be so determined to cheat.

I don't get anything from being top of the most wanted in Age of Time, though that's not really an achievement as much as it is a statistic and
a painful slap-in-the-face reminder of how much time you waste playing a game

Looking back, it probably wasn't worth it, though most of it was to protect the position from jaycopper.

Anyway, some people will undoubtably cheat on any achievement that will take quite a long time to accomplish (Left4Dead's Zombie Genocidist would end up like this if getting achievements was possible with any cheat activated), requires more skill than they believe they have, or is significantly difficult and they want to show off.

No fun, so, hows progress?

Currently still working on developing the new forum and download system application. It is a vast improvement on the current system and I think people will enjoy using it much more.

The next stage will be re-working the ingame system to look like our new forum style as well as implement all the new features of the downloads system, and finally add some features people have suggested for it via the bug reporter. There will also be lots of IRC fixes for various bugs.

Then that'll be RTB 3. RTB Connect is going to be such a huge project that I think it best to release RTB 3 without it, and then make RTB 4 dedicated to it.

And while all this is going on hopefully mocheeze will be able to make a nice wordpress theme for our new website (which is wordpress based) that matches our forum theme, or something like that.

And thats the plan.

How about saving what addons you have to your account. And when you install Blockland on another computer it will give you the option to download the addons from the RTB Manager.

Its something i've considered, basically your "My Mods" would be stored online in our database and each time you open BL, your ingame "My Mods" would sync with the server so you can still use it offline and stuff. I think it might get complicated but its something i'll reconsider.

Maybe you could also make it so you can delete mods? Because I get Addon Overflow (too many datablocks) sometimes when I'm trying to host.

Yeah, I'm trying to get Badspot to add a file deleting function at the moment but he is understandably reluctant to, despite file write commands able to accomplish essentially the same thing if used maliciously. If Badspot doesn't add it for v11 i'll be overwriting the add-ons instead but there are multiple downsides to this:

1. Console errors when you start the game because it wont be able to read a 0b file.
2. You'll have a bunch of "corrupt" zips sitting around in your add-ons directory.

But i figure if you can download, install and manage add-ons ingame, you have to be able to delete them too incase you download something crap.

I also got another question Ephi, would it be possible to open a window to the RTB Forums or the Blockland forums from in-game using the RTB System? If it is possible, it'll most likely lag a hell lot.

Lag isn't the issue, the problem is that TGE doesn't have HTML parsing so its not as easy as just giving it a URL and getting it to do stuff. Getting the RTB Downloads System to be viewable ingame was a monster task, and the forums are considerably more complicated than that so it'd be very complicated. Its something i've considered but probably not until v6 or v7.

Good ta here it, mate. That sums up about everything I need to know.

Like with addon deleting you said you might attempt, could you make Folders/Sub Folders for saving also with deleting ingame?

Ok i'm currently developing the statistics area to give you information on your files and everything, however I want some feedback as to what kind of things you'd like to see reflected in those graphs. Here's the ones i currently have:

Your add-on downloads in comparison with average add-on downloads for the past 10 days
Enables you to see how often your add-ons are being downloaded in comparison to the average downloads over a 10 day period.

Your file rating compared to file version
Allows you to see how popular your updates are depending on whether ratings go up or down.

I can't belive your 18, your so loving mature

That was so relevant.

Can you make RTB Connect have avatars that are their in-game one in 3d or like my  avatar here?
