Author Topic: Roblox is Dead  (Read 71895 times)

when it comes to building games, i need one where i can build several 10s of thousands without lag.
bells and whistles dont give me a hard on

Roblox reminds me of a crappy remake of RTB.
They got stretchy bricks, 'impulses', and while going around a few servers I found some of them to be quite similar in concept to some RTB servers.
It's not a  true building game, it's more of a complex, laggy, scripting and engineering sort of thing and I fail to see how it is child friendly.
I've also had much more fun playing and building in RTB than Roblox.
TBM was quite fun also, too bad they were a bunch of dirty rats.

No, it's a true building game. It's just one full of nooby little 7-year-olds who don't know how to build. Want some server reccommendations that will show you what can REALLY be done?

HEEEYYYYY! WTTTF?

I'm sorry, but I fail to see how yours is better.

Roblox has some high points, but blockland has a much lower learning curve, and many more features.

I'd love to see the game when it comes out of Beta thou.

Yeah, of course yours will look better if you compare it to our default.

And the game is still in Deep, Deep Alpha, nowhere ner Beta.

Dont get discouraged, it has potential. But people shot not have to "Subscribe" to a game in alpha.

Who knows more, a Veteran of the game, or someone who tried it out for less than an hour?
I love how that statement also applies to him.

I shall "buy it now for free". Why  release something in such early stages and even have people pay for crappy so called avatars? Is it just me or do I smell greedy friendry?

I think it's about time I stepped in. In total, I've played Roblox for approximately 1 month, now. I will compare the two, with full honesty. I am not biased at all because I feel like playing the other every once in a while.

Blockland
Pros:
  • Easy building
  • Creative and original minifigs
  • Several different building environments
  • Good graphics

Cons:
  • Lacks physics
  • Custom decals are not shown between different players
  • Community has been overrun by noobs and newbs.
=========================================
ROBLOX
Pros:
  • Excellent graphics
  • Excellent physics

Cons:
  • Difficult building
  • Average player age is 11
  • Awful minifigs
  • Low customization options

Overall, Blockland wins by a mile when it comes to actual building and fun.

ROBLOX wins if you want to see bricks fly everywhere.

I TOLD YOU ASSHOLES NOT TO START A FUCKING FLAME WAR!

    What?
Roblox graphics are terrible. The physics are ok, not the best I've seen.

Why would you release a game in "Deep, Deep Alpha" to the public?

    "COME LOOK GREAT NEW GAME"
    "I don't like this part..."
"It's Alpha therefore I can do anything and get away with it"

    ----
Because Alpha is the development stage, this means that they can make the game based on suggestions from players.
