I'm sorry to have to mention this, but our blocklanding brother "Michael", aka -Robot- originally known as Robot1232, passed away earlier this year. I've had a heavy heart since I heard about it from his family, he was one of my best friends. I keep his picture hung up in my gaming room so he's always with me when im building something on Blockland or playing one of the other great games we used to have fun on.
i didn't know him at all, but i recognize the username
o7
this is believable. also otis da housekat and uhhhhh vertzel or whatever his name was. and stevebunchofnumbers. I was just nostalgia-browsing a bunch of really old posts yesterday and happened upon an old drama of some guy named nienhaus who I do not remember at all but apparently posted links to actual child research in a BL tinychat once (remember tinychat? damn), which it was revealed he received from steve
and otis and v-whatever were just. established child enthusiasts. lol. god what a website to have grown up on
neinhaus definitely groomed me when i was younger - good thing my mother caught onto that stuff, and a good thing i listened when she banned me from talking to him
coulda definitely gone downhill
A Guy hasnt logged on since 2015. hope hes doing ok
poiuyt stole my first key like 8 years ago and then apologized a few years later. it was pretty funny in retrospect.
the zombies in the bluzone people were really cool. i checked and kniaz seems to still be around. does anyone know where lugnut/kaphonaits went?
i went to school and got a job
not sure why i went through the trouble of getting access to this account again when you're already adding me on discord.....
Kniaz (Creator/Host) ID - 672
Lugnut (Co-Host/Head Scripter) ID - 16807
super weird seeing my name set apart from all the rest, guess i had a bigger impact on that server than i remember... i do remember spending a lot of time developing for it from behind the scenes...

-- the rest --
i'm glad to hear you're doing better

you can make your code notably more efficient by storing clientGroup.getCount() into a variable, then referencing that variable
clientGroup.getCount() is extremely slow to execute, and while odds are no one will ever notice, it's always a good idea to think about how to make your code more efficient as you become a more proficient programmer.

Off Topic / Re: Steam is really loving up ????
« on: December 25, 2015, 03:39:43 PM »
don't use steam for the time being - because of the nature of the issue (caching affecting too many pages) odds are that every page you get that isnt actually your account means your account details are exposed to other people

you need to stop using the web browser portion of steam (including the bits in the steam client)

you probably don't need to unlink your cc info and stuff, but NOT USING THE WEB BROWSER PORTION SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT

Modification Help / Re: Pushable Third Person Camera
« on: October 17, 2015, 03:24:30 PM »
I've looked at the top down player. It's not really a script, more like a static camera position. I'm looking for a code or algorithm that allows the camera to orbit around a player object 360 degrees in a full sphere. Thanks for the advice though.
Right. It makes a static camera above you.

So now, you just make a static camera that moves to a different spot relative to the player.

Games / Re: INK - 2D splatoon-like puzzle game - $4.99
« on: October 03, 2015, 11:25:47 PM »
I wouldn't call it splatoon-like at all, considering it isn't a multiplayer shooter based around territorial control and the only thing in common between the two games is the ink theme, but it seems pretty neat.
yes

how do i stop a b rush on dust ii with a scout and a p2k

when ur on the platform behind the front box and 5 people just start comin in and you and some usp saver are the only ones there
you don't

your objective is to hold them back as long as possible (calling that they're rushing as soon as you see them, not after you loving die) so your team can rotate as much as possible before the site is taken

grenades will work really well for this - a smoke planted near the mouth of tunnels should prevent them from seeing you before you see them so you can get a shot off, followed by a molitov to burn them a bit

at that point, go for body shots on as many as possible with the scout - if you hit one, move on to another so you can hit as many as possible, dealing around 70+ damage. that's like a two hit kill with any rifle with body shots, and a one hit headshot with effectively any weapon except a loving bizon. your team should be able to clutch it 3v5 if 3 of the 5 are lit for 70+.

i never knew there could be so much of a gap between points
seriously, you got like 120 and someone else got 8
points barely mean jack stuff

11
for weapons? probably not

thing is, Port just made this https://github.com/portify/BlocklandLua
pretty sure it requires impractical things and you couldn't really use it effectively if you wanted anyone to use your mod/weapon

Ok, so thinking this through. Would it be viable to send plain text containing the reason and reporter's name to a php script which will be authenticated to an external smtp server to send the e-mail?
yes

Modification Help / Re: Is there a way to log forum profiles? [Solved]
« on: September 15, 2015, 02:51:00 AM »
Protip: use this list
http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?action=mlist;sort=posts;start=%num
go from 0 to 16110, extract the profile links from those pages
http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?action=mlist;sort=posts;start=16110

those are the only ones you really need to download, as it isn't extremely likely that someone would have tied a blid to an account with zero posts
possible. almost positively happened. but isn't very likely. furthermore, if they've made posts since after blid's became mandatory for posting, then they /have/ to have a blid to post... so the bulk of these people will probably have blids attached to their posts

16110 queries isn't nearly as bad as 145883.

also, if you do go to the trouble of getting all these profiles downloaded, please post the database somewhere in a zip file so other modders can use it
