If anybody wants to try out Feed The Beast, i'm hosting a server with me and some friends. Modpack: Infinity Evolved.

My first time trying it out too. It's fun :p, I personally like it better than Tekkit.

I didn't get install mods tho until like early 2012 because my dad didn't want to install winrar or 7-zip (you need one of those back then on minecraft to open the Jar file for minecraft to exact mods into the file) on our old windows 7 computer, but I found something called Magic Launcher and it was basically a mod manager for minecraft.

yoo Magic Launcher was a godsend, I used it to play a heck load of mods at once, too bad it went out of date.

1.11.2 (Vanilla) Lightsaber Resource Pack

So today I learned how to make basic Minecraft resource packs. Made a simple Star Wars-themed one that changes all swords and most axes into lightsabers. It's primarily light-side themed, with the only red lightsaber being the gold sword (because Zombie pigmen are evil sons of some guns, so I felt it fitting that they'd have red lightsabers).

Diamond Sword: Blue
Diamond Axe: Purple
Iron Sword: Pale blue (like the original lightsaber from episode 4, plus the Vex ghosts in haunted houses use iron swords so it's color-coordinated for them)
Iron Axe: Green
Stone Sword: Yellow (I wanted a more neutral/nether-ish lightsaber color here because Wither skeletons use stone swords)
Stone Axe: Pale green (kind of like Ahsoka's lightsaber)
Wooden Sword: Pale yellow (Jedi temple guards used yellow lightsabers)
Gold Sword: Red

The pack also has all sword/melee combat sounds replaced with lightsaber sound effects.

Installation instructions:
(1) - Extract the "Lightsaber" file folder inside the .zip to your Minecraft resource pack folder (eg. C:\User\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\resourcepacks)
(2) - Boot up minecraft and go to your options, and click on the resource pack options, and enable it
(3) - Good to go!


Also I wanted to see if I could get the lightsaber blades to glow, but so far I've had no success. Does anyone know if it's possible to make parts of items glow like that? And if so, how?
