Off Topic / Bday fun
« on: September 27, 2017, 07:00:06 PM »
Hey guys, it's my bday ! Ima bit drunk atm, was planning on releasing a birthday add-on, but idk if I'll be able. It's free pool night at the bar in my town, so thats cool but loving hell is the booze expensive, $2.25 for a canned beer??!?! loving ROBBERS. Oh, the pool table is free so that okay ? NOT ITS loving NOT? IT DOESNT MAKE UP FOR stuff? I guess I got lucky that my bday was on a wednesday : the only day they have free pool. I should be thankful

Anyways, we were there and the beer is not the cheapest rip, its the godamn music because they give you 2 credits for a dollar and almost every song cost 2 credits. Did u like that song an' wanna hear it again?(highly despised of) Good for you, this place obviously makes more than iTunes ever loving did, even with free pool and moderatly expensive american beer. So, we just started playing music off Deo's phone because forget the system and it's free pool anyway. Happy bday guys

Add-Ons / Event - BotSpawnItem
« on: March 19, 2016, 02:20:53 AM »

Event - Bot Spawn Item

This is an event I made a while back for my brother's RPG server

BotSpawnItem expands upon the default BotDropItem event, by adding
X Y Z functionality for drops. The drop chance variable slider is now a string also.

How can I use this?
This event is extremely useful when paired with VCE, it allows bots to drop multiple items
with varying chance rates and in different directions.

Irish Ale Item - Don't drink too many or you might get shammered

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

This is a really odd issue I ran into. Certain items glow after being picked up, but only if I'm not running shaders.

It's the exact opposite with translucent items, however. After picking the item up when the item fades back on the brick, the transparency is an odd form of solidity. Reapplying the item to the brick fixes it until you pick it up again. The translucency doesn't work at all if I'm running shaders.

I can only assume I somehow exported the model wrong, but I have made other items before and never had this issue. Anyone else run into this problem or know a fix?

Help / {TUTORIAL} Port-Forwarding [Windows]
« on: February 11, 2016, 09:20:51 AM »

USING WINDOWS VISTA - 10
--------------------------------
TABLE OF CONTENTS
A - SETTING A STATIC IP ADDRESS
B - ACCESS THE DEFAULT GATEWAY
C - FORWARD THE ROUTER'S PORTS
--------------------------------

A - SETTING A STATIC IP ADDRESS

1. Win-Key and type CMD. Hit enter. In the command prompt, type ipconfig /all and hit enter again

Scroll down and record the following:
IPv4 Address
Subnet Mask
Default Gateway
DNS Server 1
DNS Server 2
(if applicable)

2. Open the Network and Sharing Center and click Change adapter settings

3. Right-click your internet adapter and click Properties

4. Click TCP/IP v4 and click Properties

5. Fill the information here with the information from step 1

It should look something like this

Click OK and make sure "validate settings upon exit" is unchecked

CONGRATS! You have just set yourself a static IP. Let's proceed to the next part

B - ACCESS THE DEFAULT GATEWAY

1. Open your browser and type your default gateway from step A-1 into the address bar. Hit enter.

2. Log into your modem/router. Normally, the router or modem has a sticker on it that has the username
and password for the gateway. If it does not, try looking up the manufacturers default gateway information.
It's usually something like "admin" and "password" or "user" and "password" or "user" and "user"

If you cannot access the default gateway, then your journey to port forwarding has ended here.

C - FORWARD THE ROUTER'S PORTS

1. Look for the port forwarding option in your router. Sometimes it's hidden under advanced settings.
A quick google image search of your router model with the words "port forward" might also help

The default port for Blockland is 28000. You will need to open this port, and set the end port
to 28000 + However many people will be hosting. I use 28000 - 28008. It will look something like this

Make sure to enable the port for both TCP and UDP. Click apply/ok/accept/done

CONGRATULATIONS! You have forwarded your ports! Now, was that really so hard?
--------------------------------

NOTE: If you have an ancient router/modem and you cannot find the port forwarding option, try updating the firmware for your model.

Off Topic / This has been bugging me all day
« on: January 27, 2016, 01:42:14 AM »
Alright, so I am in the middle of browsing my PC docs looking for some file I can't remember, and the TV is kinda loud so I look over at it, also my daughter is sitting there laughing at cartoons on tv which made me laugh a bit too.

Well ok the laugh was over and I had turned back to my PC, and returned to what I was doing. But, out of the corner of my eye when I glanced back over I seen something move on the chair I was sitting on. And it was a loving spider!! Literally about  2 inches from my manpackage, and im sitting here wearing loving PAC-MAN PAJAMA PANTS. This forgeter could have bit right through that stuff! I jumped up pretty quick like "OH stuff!" then proceeded to smash it with a near-by flip flop

Unfortunately, I am not sure if I actually killed him or not...I seen part of his gushy leg on the floor where I thought I squished him, but it's not the full body and I'm scared he's gonna bite me in my sleep and kill me/exact revenge.

I'm loving serious, a part of me feels that spider is still alive and plotting.

Modification Help / Key-Press Other Mounted Image Sequence
« on: January 26, 2016, 05:49:38 AM »
Imagine I mounted a cape to my backslot. I want this cape to play certain sequences during key presses such as spacebar, shift, etc. I know I can "loop" a sequence or play through a series of them using weapon states and transition on timeout, but it appears only models in the handslot 0 animate via trigger?

How would I go about telling a mounted image not in the hand slot to play its script? (such as onFire, onReady, etc) or would I have to manually add sequences to the shape and use playThread?

Add-Ons / Vehicle Air Drop - v4
« on: January 26, 2016, 12:50:06 AM »
VEHICLE AIR DROP

v4
--------------------------------
A modified version of the Air Strike Beacon by Jetz and Pandan.
Drops a vehicle care package. Inspired by Just Cause 3

FUNCTIONALITY
Right click with the beacon to pull up the vehicle menu and select a drop type.
You can also use /beaconVehicle vehiclename with the vehicle beacon in-hand to set the drop type.

SERVER ADMINS:
You can restrict vehicles from beacon access with /beaconRestrict vehiclename
use the command again to un-resitrict the vehicle

/clearDropVehicles - Clears all beacon vehicle drops
/setBeaconMax - Sets the max drop amount per player

CHANGES/ADDITIONS
-Used my own remote model with button pressing animation
-Fixed being able to pickup multiple beacon items
-Properly rotated beacon projectile
-The f14 has an engine sound

TO DO
-Vehicle color based on team color if in a minigame
-Easier vehicle restriction that saves in a list
-Fix bugs

DOWNLOAD
------------------------
MEDIAFIRE
------------------------

KNOWN BUGS:
Clearing drop vehicles command is broken. For now use /clearFloatingBricks to remove beacon spawns

The antenna on the beacon remote is black in-hand and when it's first spawned on a brick.
It turns grey after you pick it up at least once, but always stays black in-hand.
I have absolutely no idea why this happens, just a small visual bug...

When using the GUI, do not put in a brick name or you will get a console error!
Keep in mind there is no brick planted down, so it can't have a name

Modification Help / Light Cookie
« on: January 24, 2016, 02:02:00 AM »
Is it possible to use light cookies in Blockland? I have been looking into making a "disco ball" of sorts, where the light gives off a particle/image cast, like seen here.
